“I remember sitting there thinking everything needed to stop,” she says. “But my husband told me, ‘You’ve worked too hard for this. Go.’ So I did.”

“There were nights I didn’t think I could keep going,” she says. “But I just focused on the next step.”

She graduated in 2009.
