History

APM emerged in 1994 onto the scene with a vision to provide vocational rehabilitation services. With humble beginnings, APM started its operations in Western Australia, offering support to individuals seeking to overcome barriers and reintegrate into the workforce.

Driven by a commitment to excellence and a desire to expand its reach, APM swiftly expanded its service offerings and geographical presence. In the following years, APM opened offices in Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, New South Wales, and Canberra, and even ventured into the Northern Territory, Tasmania, and Darwin. This marked a significant milestone for APM, transforming it into a truly national company, with a presence in every state and territory of Australia.

As APM continued to grow, it established itself as a leader in providing vocational rehabilitation services. In 2000, APM further expanded its horizons, setting foot in Darwin, Alice Springs, Hobart, and Launceston, solidifying its interstate presence.

Embracing the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolving landscape, APM secured major contracts and appointments with employers, offering a range of occupational rehabilitation and counselling services. These achievements allowed APM to establish a reputable name in the industry, recognized for its quality services and commitment to client satisfaction.

The years rolled on, and APM's dedication to making a positive impact on individuals' lives remained unwavering. In 2005, APM achieved ISO accreditation on a national basis, further cementing its commitment to excellence and quality standards.

As time went by, APM's focus expanded beyond vocational rehabilitation services. In 2006, the company introduced the Job Capacity Account services, which quickly garnered success, securing a 50% market share within just six months.

APM's growth trajectory continued unabated, and in 2007, it achieved a significant milestone by winning over 33% of the Australian Government's Vocational Rehabilitation Services contract. Covering 48 Employment Service Areas and 77 sites, this success further solidified APM's position as a key player in the industry.

The years that followed witnessed a series of strategic acquisitions and expansions for APM. In 2011, APM secured its first contract in the United Kingdom, providing employment services assessments. The company continued to expand its service offering and geographic footprint, extending its reach into New Zealand, where it won a national contract to provide vocational rehabilitation services.

In 2015, APM achieved a major breakthrough, becoming the largest provider of Disability Employment Services in Australia. This marked a turning point for the company, as it became increasingly recognized for its expertise and support in helping individuals with disabilities overcome barriers to employment.

APM's journey continued to be defined by its commitment to innovation, growth, and making a positive impact. The company expanded its services to encompass home-based aged care, job active employment services, and NDIS Local Area Coordinator services. These expansions enabled APM to serve a broader range of individuals, from older adults in need of care to job seekers and participants in the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Throughout the years, APM's reputation for excellence grew, leading to a series of significant acquisitions, including Konekt, MCI, and Early Start Australia. These acquisitions further diversified APM's service offerings and enhanced its market share in employment services, workplace health, and injury management.

Today, APM stands as a leading mission-driven human services organization, operating in multiple countries and employing thousands of dedicated professionals. With a global footprint spanning Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, the United States, Sweden, and Canada, APM continues to empower individuals, businesses, and communities, creating opportunities and transforming lives.
