History

A10 Networks was founded in 2004 by Lee Chen in California. The company is named for the A10 Lightning, a U.S. military attack aircraft. A10 Networks started out as an application delivery controller (ADC) innovator. In 2013 it launched its first cloud security solution and in 2015 it became the provider of the first application delivery firewall. It has since become a global provider of secure application services.
