Biography

Alexander Hughes, from an early stage, developed a strong interest in quality standards and process control, which later shaped his professional journey in quality management and systems consultancy.
 

In February 2007, Alexander began his professional career at AmSafe Bridport, a company known for its aerospace safety equipment. He worked as a Quality Controller, where he was responsible for inspecting products to ensure they met quality specifications and regulatory requirements. This role allowed him to gain practical experience in quality assurance processes and build a solid foundation in the field. Over nearly four and a half years, he contributed to maintaining product compliance and participated in internal quality improvement initiatives.
 

In March 2012, Alexander joined Corbin Industries Ltd as a Quality Assurance Manager. He held this position until August 2017. During this five-and-a-half-year period, he took on a wider set of responsibilities, including managing the company’s quality management system, conducting internal audits, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and leading corrective and preventive action programmes. 

 

He played a central role in identifying areas for improvement in manufacturing processes and worked with different departments to implement changes that improved product quality and consistency. His role also included training employees on quality procedures and preparing for external audits.


In August 2017, Alexander started working as a Management Systems Consultant on a self-employed basis. Over seven years, he provided consultancy services to a wide range of organisations across sectors. He also developed and delivered customised training workshops to help client teams understand and implement standard requirements effectively. These workshops covered internal auditing, document control, risk management, and continual improvement methods.
 

Though there is no public record of him publishing books or articles during this time, Alexander contributed to the development of training manuals and implementation guides for his clients, which were used internally by various organisations as part of their quality programmes.
