AppHarvest was founded in 2017 by Jonathan Webb with a mission to reinvent the way food is grown. The company's first commercial-scale Smart Greenhouse is located in Morehead, Kentucky. By 2020, AppHarvest claimed to be the largest greenhouse in the country.
