Summary
History
Artprice began in 1989 as a French data processing and information services provider for art auction and artwork sales. Initially, it established contacts with several Italian and Belgian auction houses, which eventually led to the establishment of a vast network of international experts in the art market and numerous partnerships with leading auction houses around the world. As a result, Artprice was able to gain access to billions of pieces of historical data from all over the world, making it the largest database of art auction results in the world. In 2001, the company went public on the Paris Stock Exchange, and began offering its services to private clients, as well as government institutions, universities, and corporations. Over the years, Artprice has continued to develop and expand its services, including the introduction of an online platform and mobile apps, as well as an Artprice shop, all of which have further contributed to its success.
