
Arvida Group is a company that was established in 2002 with the sole purpose of developing and operating Retirement Villages in New Zealand. The company was founded by Anthony Harrington who was a senior executive of the Guardian Trust (now Findex). After two years of establishing itself, Arvida grew rapidly through the development of Retirement Villages across New Zealand. By 2008, Arvida had developed over 8 quality Retirement Villages throughout the country and the number of residents in the villages had grown to over 10,000. In 2011, Arvida expanded into the Aged Care sector, with the opening of the first Aged Care facility in Napier. Today, Arvida Group is one of the leading Retirement Village and Aged Care operators in New Zealand, with a diverse portfolio of over 20 Retirement Villages and Aged Care facilities spread across New Zealand.
