Ashish Bhatia

Ashish Bhatia is the Founder and CEO of India Accelerator. With more than two decades of experience as a strategist and business consultant, he brings his affluent resourcefulness into the startup ecosystem. 

Ashish is a Bachelor's in Technology with a specialisation in Electronics and Communication from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. He also holds an Executive Business Administration and Management from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.

He has been at the helm of IT leadership at various esteemed MNCs, including Fidelity, United Health Group, and American Tower. He has played a key role in facilitating startup businesses by being an ingenious investor and mentor for novices in the industry. 

After his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra in 1995, Ashish Bhatia held various roles in the industry, including being a Project Manager at Fidelity Investments, where he was responsible for IT delivery, covering technical, financial, people and quality aspects) of the Institutional Business.

He, then, pursued Executive Management Programme in Business Administration and Management from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon in 2006. After serving for more than 6 years at Fidelity Investments, he joined United Health Group as Associate Director. 

He co-founded an IT servicing and consulting company, Appworks in 2008. AppWorks began as a niche IT servicing and consulting company. Over the period, the company has now evolved to become a holding company that deals in building mobile IT solutions mobile apps, helping startups launch in the market, upskilling freshers who want to work in corporates, and more.

As the Associate Director at Fidelity, which he joined in 2012, he gained significant experience in large Program Management. There, he also successfully led business-critical multi-year IT projects. Thereafter, he joined American Tower in 2014, as IT Site Leader for GM Technology. 

In April 2017, Ashish, along with Mona Singh founded India Accelerator, the leading seed-stage accelerator program in India. A part of Global Accelerator Network (GAN), the world's most respected network of accelerators and organizations providing startup support, IA operates short-term accelerator programs (focussed on FinTech, AI, Cyber Security, Health, AgriTech, SME & Social Sector) providing funding, training, mentoring, and amazing connections to startup companies. IA is one of the fastest-growing accelerators in Asia & is on its way to being “India’s most powerful start-up accelerator".
