Aurelien Ominus is an innovator, blockchain author at Eyrolles Business, serial entrepreneur & Blockchain Deeptech teacher at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and active enthusiast sport athlete. He is certified in an Executive Program in Design Thinking from MIT Sloan School of Management. He also did a Master's programme from INSEEC San Francisco focused on start-up development.
He regularly contributes as an expert columnist on an innovation Subject linked to Start-up and Tech, including Blockchain, Web 3, Metaverse, Crypto, start-up, and fundraising at France 3 Corse Via Stella Via Nova.
He is also the former founder of Manager l'innovation, an innovation firm that helps create and manage ambitious start-ups, project and product management, Blockchain, Design Thinking, Lean Start-up.
As an author, Aurelien has published four books on blockchain: A Practical Guide To Blockchain In Business (his latest book, in October 2022, published with Eyrolles Business), Blockchain: A Revolution In Real Estate (2020, published with Eyrolles Business), The world after the Blockchain: what is behind Bitcoin (2020, self-published), and Blockchain and ICOs (2018, self-published).
He is also a Blockchain Deeptech teacher in Entrepreneurship & Innovation management programme at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
As a Coach and Manager of the INSEEC basketball team, he managed a team of 12 members, winning a majority of games in the French Championship.
Aurelien got first-class honours in Scientific baccalaureate, specialising in Mathematics and Ancient Greek from Lycée Giocante de Casabianca in 2013. He received his Master’s in Business from OMNES Education in 2018. During that time, he was also involved as a Member of the INSEEC Paris basketball team(2015-2017) and a member of the sports association of the INSEEC in sponsoring area Sporting Club INSEEC Paris (SCIP). He also attended the Master's program by INSEEC San Francisco that focused on start-up development in 2018.
He interned at Oscaro, an e-commerce website considered the leader of car part online selling worldwide. He worked with its teams in France and Spain to maintain customer information and data.
Aurelien was an intern at Volpy, the first app to collect used smartphones directly from the user to create a virtuous circle including an easy sale, a second life for smartphones in the second-hand market, and respect for the environment by recycling, in 2017.
He also coached and managed a basketball team of 12 members at INSEEC. Under his leadership, the team participated in french championships, winning 8 games out of 11. The team also participated in the French cup until the quarterfinal, and in the first "Hoops Factory League Universitaire" where it stood 2nd out of 9 participants. Aurelien was also responsible for searching and door-to-door selling to get sponsors for the team.
In 2018, he joined Demeures Courses as a Project Manager, where he contributed to promoting new and digital technologies to entrepreneurs. It was around this time that he wrote his first book, Blockchain and ICOs. The book is based on his research paper on the topic.
In 2019, he founded Manager l'innovation, a provider of Design Thinking for ambitious startups based on innovation. Some of its clients included: Volpy.com, Goodbarber.com, Immiris.com, Trendex.vip, CorsicanTech, Bastia Digital City, Emaho Corsica, M3E, Chamber Of Commerce, European Interreg Program, European SUCCESS Program, Koalita Agency, and more than 30 entrepreneurs at an early stage
In 2020, he joined as a Startup Coach at Kedge Business School for its Kedge Bastia Incubator to coach entrepreneurs who wanted to create innovative companies.
This was the time when his second book, The world after the Blockchain: what is behind Bitcoin, was published. In the September of the same year, his next book, Blockchain: A Revolution In Real Estate, was published by a famous publishing house in France, Eyrolles Group. The book discusses the latest trends in the property and real estate business.
Aurelien did an Executive Programme in Design Thinking from MIT Sloan School of Management in 2020. He has been contributing every month as an expert columnist for France 3 Corse Via Stella Via Nova, on innovative Subjects including Start-up & Tech, Blockchain, Web 3, Metaverse, Crypto, start-up, and fundraising.
He also is a Blockchain lecturer in Entrepreneurship & Innovation management master at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Ville de Paris, Île-de-France, France.
In October 2022, his book, A Practical Guide To Blockchain In Business, got published with Eyrolles Business. In this book, Aurelien demystifies the concept of blockchain and integrates it into a context of concrete project development to allow readers to take action.
Aurélien is convinced that every asset worldwide from crypto to real estate will have a digital or physical twin thanks to technologies like Blockchain.
In this brand-new world, he believes investments will become a way of communicating creativity, personal performance, and social belonging.
While a lot of companies are focusing on creating a unique digital ID for tangible and/or intangible assets (which is good), Aurélien chose to focus on making these future digitized IDs shareable and sociable.
