History
Banque Cantonale Vaudoise was founded in 1845 as the State Savings Bank of Vaud, and it is the oldest savings bank in Switzerland. The canton authorised it to function as a commercial bank in 1999 and it became the sole entity host of its branch system in 2003. It has since grown to become the largest bank in the Canton of Vaud.
