Berner Kantonalbank AG operates through a network of 60 branches. The company was formerly known as Kantonalbank von Bern and changed its name to Berner Kantonalbank AG in 1991. Berner Kantonalbank AG was founded in 1834 and is headquartered in Bern, Switzerland.
History

Berner Kantonalbank AG is the successor of the Badische Hypothekar- und Wechselbank, which was founded in 1862 and joined with Berner Handelsbank to form Berner Kantonalbank AG. Today, the bank is regulated by the Federal Banking Commission and operates more than 50 branches across Switzerland.
