It markets its products through vending machines and mail orders. The company was formerly known as Kitanihon Shokuhin Kogyo Corporation and changed its name to Bourbon Corporation in June 1989. Bourbon Corporation was incorporated in 1924 and is headquartered in Kashiwazaki, Japan.
History

Bourbon has been a family tradition since 1750, when it was first founded by the Brochet family in the Cognac region of France. For over 250 years, the company has continued to produce its various alcoholic beverages, including the famous distilled cognac known as Courvoisier. The company has expanded to include other products such as Armagnac, cognac-flavored brandies, and several spirits and wines.
