History
Buckinghamshire New University traces its origins to 1891, when it was established as the School of Science and Art in High Wycombe, England. Initially focused on supporting the local furniture industry, the institution evolved over the decades, becoming the High Wycombe College of Art and Technology in 1963. In 1999, it was granted university college status and named Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College. Finally, in 2007, it achieved full university status and adopted its current name, Buckinghamshire New University .
Throughout its history, Buckinghamshire New University has expanded its academic offerings and infrastructure. From its initial focus on art and design, the university broadened its curriculum to include a wide range of disciplines, reflecting the changing educational needs of society.
