History

The history of Compañía Cervecerías Unidas dates back to 1950, when Alfredo Errázuriz, Jorge Crovari and Diego Díaz Grandón registered their first company in Chile, the brewery Compañía Cervecerías Unidas Ltda. The brewery was soon merged with a group of companies that belonged to the Roemmers family from Argentina, giving birth to Cervecerías Unidas S.A. Cervecerías Unidas began its operations in late 1951 and became Chile’s first national beer and beverages producer with the introduction of brand Kunstmann in 1952 and with popularization of beer Victoria that same year.
