CELSIA S.A. E.S.P. engages in the generation, transmission, distribution, and sale of electricity to residential, commercial, and industrial users in Colombia and Central America. It operates hydroelectric, solar, and thermal power plants. The company operates 11 transmission substations and 165 distribution substations with a network of 274 kilometers of transmission lines and 42,617 kilometers of distribution networks. It also offers solar panels for homes; chargers for electric vehicles and solar farms; cooling districts and backup energy projects; and solutions to real estate developments, such as energy, internet, and charging stations, as well as sewage and sanitation management solutions. The company was formerly known as Compañia Colombiana de Inversiones S.A. E.S.P. CELSIA S.A. E.S.P. was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Medellín, Colombia. CELSIA S.A. E.S.P. is a subsidiary of Grupo Argos S.A.
