Chelsea Slater is the Co-Founder and Director of InnovateHer, a UK-based organization with a mission to make the tech industry more inclusive and diverse by preparing girls for a career in tech. With a passion for diversity and inclusion, especially within the digital and tech space, Chelsea is dedicated to empowering young girls with the skills, confidence, and self-belief they need to pursue a career in tech.

Chelsea's background includes an MA in Social Media and Business from Birmingham City University, which she leverages to help businesses develop strategies that are effective in the digital age. Her experience in the tech industry began with her co-founding Liverpool Girl Geeks, where she worked to create opportunities for women in technology through events, training, and mentorship.

In 2017, Chelsea and co-founder Jo Morfee launched InnovateHer, building on their previous work with Liverpool Girl Geeks. InnovateHer's mission is to close the gender gap in the tech industry by providing girls with hands-on experiences and the opportunity to develop tech skills, as well as by working with businesses to make them more inclusive. The organization runs a schools program for 13-17 year-olds that teaches digital and technology skills, as well as offering training and support to teachers.
