History
Concho Resources Inc. was founded in 2006. Since then, the company has expanded its operations significantly, growing from production of 33,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD) to nearly 350,000 BOEPD in 2020. In 2017, the company agreed to purchase sixty percent of the acreage in the Permian Basin from RSP Permian, a merger that would nearly triple the company's production rate.
