The company evolved from its well-known Contract Lifecycle Management and Leah Legal solutions, expanding from document automation into a full enterprise agentic ecosystem. ContractPodAi combines secure, enterprise-grade AI with a cloud-agnostic architecture, allowing organisations to manage their own agentic systems and connect workflows across departments while ensuring measurable operational value and resilience.

Headquartered in London, ContractPodAi has a global presence with teams in New York, Glasgow, San Francisco, Toronto, Sydney, Mumbai, Pune, and other regions. Recognised by Gartner as a Visionary from 2021 to 2024, the company follows a mission to support legal teams, law firms, business users, and individuals in analysing, drafting, and managing documents at scale.

Founded in 2015, the company launched in London and strengthened its AI capability in 2017 through a partnership with IBM Watson. It expanded to North America in 2018 and secured major investment rounds, including Insight Partners in 2019 and SoftBank in 2021. In 2020, the company reported strong growth through customer expansion, retention, and significant SaaS revenue gains. ContractPodAi Cloud launched in 2021 as a unified legal platform. In 2023, ContractPodAi introduced Leah, an AI legal assistant designed to help organisations gain insights from their agreements. In 2025, the company launched Leah AgenticOS, providing a single infrastructure for enterprise-wide intelligent agent orchestration. It now works with partners including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Microsoft.

History

ContractPodAi began in 2015 in London as a legal technology company focused on helping organisations manage their contracts in a more structured and efficient way. The company started by building software that supported contract creation, storage, and management, aiming to simplify the work of legal teams and business users. In its early years, ContractPodAi concentrated on developing a strong foundation in artificial intelligence, data handling, and workflow automation for the legal sector.

In 2017, the company strengthened its technology through a partnership with IBM Watson. This partnership helped ContractPodAi integrate advanced AI capabilities into its platform and positioned the company to support large volumes of documents and complex legal processes. In 2018, ContractPodAi expanded into North America by opening its regional headquarters in New York City, allowing it to work closely with customers across the United States and Canada.

In 2019, the company secured investment from Insight Partners in what was one of the largest Series B funding rounds in legal technology at the time. This funding supported the company’s expansion, product development, and customer operations. In 2020, ContractPodAi reported strong growth in new customer acquisition, customer retention, and multi-year SaaS revenue.

In 2021, the company launched ContractPodAi Cloud, a unified platform for legal operations designed to bring all contract-related work into one system. In the same year, ContractPodAi received investment from SoftBank through its Series C funding round, which further supported development and international growth.

In 2023, the company introduced Leah, an AI-powered legal assistant designed to help users analyse agreements, review documents, and extract important data. This release marked the beginning of ContractPodAi’s shift from traditional contract management to broader AI-driven decision support.

In 2025, ContractPodAi expanded its vision by launching Leah AgenticOS, an enterprise-wide operating system for intelligent agents. This development allowed organisations to build, manage, and control AI agents across legal, procurement, finance, HR, IT, and other business functions. Through this system, ContractPodAi aimed to support enterprise-wide automation and the coordination of processes that involve large amounts of information and decision-making.

Over the years, ContractPodAi also strengthened its global presence, adding teams in Glasgow, Toronto, San Francisco, Sydney, Mumbai, Pune, and other locations. It continued to work with leading technology partners, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, and others, to support its agentic AI ecosystem.

ContractPodAi operates as a global provider of agentic AI solutions, offering products such as Leah Legal, Contract Lifecycle Management, Document Drafting, Contract Review, Data Analysis, Smart Drive, Visualiser and Analytics, and a Legal Helpdesk. Its Intake and CLM systems support contract automation, project management, request handling, and negotiation. The company serves industries including consumer goods, manufacturing, energy, utilities, finance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, retail, and software. ContractPodAi continues to expand its work in enterprise agentic AI, focusing on helping organisations manage documents, data, and decisions at scale.

These products form a connected system that helps organisations manage their documents, data, and workflows in a structured and consistent way. The

Leah CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) is the central system for creating, managing, and completing contracts. It supports contract creation through guided templates, clause libraries, and automated drafting tools. It helps users manage approvals, negotiations, renewals, and version tracking. Leah CLM centralises all contracts in one secure location and provides full visibility across teams. It also supports AI-assisted negotiation, comparison of agreement drafts, extraction of obligations, and identification of risks. Workflow automation allows organisations to route tasks, track deadlines, receive alerts, and ensure that contracts move through each stage without delays. Leah CLM helps organisations maintain consistency, reduce manual work, and follow internal standards for all contract-related activities.

LLM Models offer the foundation for ContractPodAi’s agentic capabilities. These models support language understanding, document processing, reasoning, and workflow automation. The platform includes custom and fine-tuned large language models built for legal and enterprise tasks. These models handle clause extraction, document summarisation, question answering, multi-document reasoning, contract comparison, and structured data output. Enterprises can use these LLM models within their own environments through the Leah Agentic OS, enabling secure and compliant deployment. ContractPodAi’s LLM Models are designed to integrate with existing systems, provide traceable outputs, and ensure that sensitive data remains under organisational control.

Leah Legal is an AI system that supports legal teams with drafting, reviewing, and analysing documents. It helps users understand contract terms, compare versions, extract important information, and highlight risks. Leah Legal allows legal and business users to analyse documents at scale without manually reviewing each section. It can summarise agreements, generate draft clauses, suggest alternative language, and align documents with organisational rules. Leah Legal is used for due diligence, contract review, compliance checks, risk assessment, and day-to-day legal support. It reduces the time needed to review documents and supports more consistent decision-making.

Legal Intake is a system that manages legal requests coming from different departments. Users can submit questions, contract requests, document work, or project needs through a structured interface. The system assigns each request to the right legal resource, tracks progress, and records response times. It offers dashboards and data to help legal teams understand request volumes, patterns, and workloads. Legal Intake supports automated workflows, task assignment, approvals, and reporting, helping organisations manage legal work in an organised and predictable way.
