History

In 2012, Cronos Group’s founder and CEO, Michael Krestell, recognized the long-term potential of the emerging cannabis industry and started the Canadian Licensed Producer operation in Peace Naturals. When Canada legalized recreational cannabis use in 2018, Cronos Group expanded over 900% and eventually went public in 2018 on the NASDAQ Global Select Market and on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
