History
CTI Industries was founded in 1983 in Barrington, Illinois, and was the holding company for C.T.I. Plastics. In 1984, it acquired Taxon corporation and its subsidiaries, including Hippy Industries. In 1989, the company founded a film production division. In 2000, it acquired Balloon Time, a helium cylinder kit, among other products. In 2018, it acquired Home Entertainment Media, a family-oriented movie and television distribution company.
