Dilmah is a family tea business from Sri Lanka which was founded by Merrill J. Fernando in 1974.
History

Merrill J. Fernando, founder father of the Dilmah family tea business, began his journey into the tea industry in the early 1950s. After graduating in the Ceylon School of Tea, Merrill took his first steps into the tea industry working as a clerk in a tea factory. He went on to become a proficient tea taster and buyer in 1961.

Mission
The mission of Dilmah is to make available the freshest, most flavourful teas available anywhere, whilst maintaining a pioneering spirit, embody ethics behind its business, provide productive employment and improve the lives of the less privileged without compromising on quality and persistently innovating to delight all tea lovers.
Vision
Dilmah is committed to introducing the world to the extraordinary goodness, richness, and diversity of Ceylon Tea, and establishing Sri Lanka as the finest tea producer in the world, through dignity of labour.
