Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) is an Egyptian shareholding company which carries out the work of developing and increasing the integrated chain of natural gas through supervising the natural gas business in Egypt.
History

Creating EGAS was part of the economic and social development program in Egypt. It was created in March 2002 and was responsible for supervising the strategic direction of the sector and identifying the areas of increase in these activities. It replaced the General Petrol Corporation, which was the government agency responsible.

Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) is committed to showing leadership in the natural gas sector in Egypt. We want to expand the availability of natural gas for industrial, residential and commercial uses. This will result in advances in safety, environmental and economic benefits for the local community and investors.

Our vision is to be recognized as the leader in the natural gas industry in Egypt by providing reliable and safe services to residential, commercial and industrial customers. We want to be a profitable company that provides quality products and services, uses renewable and clean energy sources, and continuously strives for excellence in environmental, occupational and safety standards.
