The company was formerly known as Volcanic Metals Exploration Inc. and changed its name to Energy Fuels Inc. in May 2006. Energy Fuels Inc. was incorporated in 1987 and is headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado.
History

Energy Fuels (NYSE American: UUUU) was founded in the early 1980s to supply uranium and vanadium to utility companies. From its headquarters in Colorado, USA, the organization has grown to become the largest producer of uranium and vanadium in the United States.
