Fairway Group Holdings Corp. was originally founded in 1933 as a family-owned grocery store on Manhattan’s Upper West Side called Fairway Market. The iconic grocery store grew rapidly, expanding to new locations around the New York Metropolitan area. In December 2013, the company went public, beginning trading on the NASDAQ stock exchange, and was renamed Fairway Group Holdings Corp.
