History
Famous Dave's of America, Inc. was founded in 1994 by Famous Dave Anderson. Located in Hayward, WI, the first Famous Dave's restaurant became very popular in the Midwest. In 1995, Famous Dave opened a second location, and soon expanded to other cities and states. By 2001, Famous Dave's had 43 locations and had gone public on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
