Fermentalg was founded in 2010 to produce sustainable proteins, lipids, and bioactive products from microalgae. The company utilizes proprietary fermentative production processes in order to optimize environmental and economic performance. In 2015, Fermentalg embarked on a collaboration with the French National Institute of Agronomic Research (INRA) to optimize the company's microalgae production processes. In 2017, Fermentalg went public on the Paris Bourse ( Euronext ).
