History

Finsbury Foods began as a family-run bakery in 1936 in Scotland. Founded by the Lightbody family, the company has since expanded to become one of the leading cake and bread manufacturers in the United Kingdom. In 2014, Finsbury Foods entered a joint venture with Greencore Group to become Finsbury Food Group and extend the reach of its products. With the joint venture, Finsbury Food Group has grown to become a multi-channel and award-winning business. The Group’s portfolio includes a number of well-known and much-loved convenient sweet and savoury bakery brands, including Finsbury’s Lightbody Range, as well as its premium Finsbury brand.
