Fox Chase Bancorp was originally founded in 1868 as a building and loan savings association. In 1968, it became a federally-chartered savings bank, known as Fox Chase Savings & Loan Association. In 1994, Fox Chase Bank, N.A. was established, which enabled Fox Chase to offer consumer and commercial banking products and services. In 1998, Fox Chase Bank became a publicly traded company.
