Summary
Genesis is a co-founding company that builds global tech businesses together with outstanding entrepreneurs from CEE. They are one of the largest global app developers. Apps of Genesis companies have been downloaded by more than 300 mn users globally and are used by tens of millions of users monthly.
Genesis has co-founded now independent tech companies such as Jiji, BetterMe, Headway. They have launched and are currently developing successful projects such as OBRIO, Universe, AMO, Boosters, and others in their ecosystem.
They have one of the best tech teams in Europe. As a result, they are constantly recognized as top IT employees in CEE and Ukraine.
History
In a recent interview with Dinis Guarda for his YouTube podcast, COO Artem Kopanyev narrated the history of Genesis:
"Genesis started in 2011, with an initial idea of internet business and growing in emerging countries. Its first project was Connect UAE, a social network.
Fast forward a few years, after several iterations and building other businesses, Genesis became a player in emerging markets like Africa, where we have largest classified, Jiji, largest media in Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Kazakhstan in Central Asia.
We, then, started new projects in mobile app and web app, business utilities, health and fitness, book summaries, brain teasers etc. We started to have more businesses and we understood that we are not just an IT product company, but we are a co-founding company which is actually working with best entrepreneurs throughout all of the Ukraine providing necessary infrastructure and experience to build global businesses.
Right now, we are the biggest IT product companies in Ukraine with more than 3000 people. We are one of the largest app developers in the world with more than 300 million downloads of our applications. We are leaders in several niches. We have overall more than 25 businesses in different industries.
We also have a Venture Fund which is a part of our ecosystem: Flyer One Ventures, with more than 80 investments. We are striving to be a global player building businesses from Ukraine, supported by biggest tech companies like Meta and Apple, who are our partners. We are one of the best people to give the most opportunities for our people in the country."

Genesis for Ukraine
In April 2022, the company created the Genesis for Ukraine charitable foundation, whose mission is to unite to strengthen the Defense Forces and bring Ukraine's victory closer.
The Foundation works in two directions — it provides targeted assistance to employees and their families who have joined the ranks of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, as well as implements initiatives with companies of the Genesis ecosystem to strengthen the Ukrainian army.
