Biography

Gracie Page-Fozzati was born with a strong interest in both sports and technology. At the age of 9, she made the decision to leave school and pursue her dream of becoming a pro-am sportswoman, particularly in the field of ice dancing. She trained intensively in the sport until the age of 16, when an injury left her with a broken ankle. Despite the setback, Gracie turned this challenge into an opportunity and taught herself how to build websites, marking the beginning of her journey into technology and digital innovation.

In 2010, Gracie enrolled at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, where she pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons in Molecular Biology. She graduated with First-Class Honours and demonstrated leadership as the Class Representative for Biological Sciences (2010-2012). After completing her undergraduate studies, Gracie went on to study at University College London (UCL), where she earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Technology Entrepreneurship in 2015, graduating with distinction.

Following her education, Gracie embarked on a career in biotechnology and molecular biology, working as a genetic engineer and later as a biotech entrepreneur. She co-founded a start-up, which ultimately failed, but this experience led her to transition into the marketing and technology industries.

In the next phase of her career, Gracie worked with several high-profile agencies, including WPP and VMLY&R. At WPP, she played a key role in rebuilding the data and analytics arm of the agency and spearheaded the development of new AI-driven products for global brands. She worked on innovation strategies for companies such as Google, BBC, Meta, Deliveroo, BT, Kellogg’s, Brave, and Richemont, among others. Gracie’s focus was on blending emerging technology with marketing to help businesses engage with their audiences more effectively.

During her time at VMLY&R, Gracie was appointed Director of Emerging Technology, where she led the EMEA emerging technology practice. Her primary role was to build the practice and serve both consultancy and advertising clients. One of her key achievements was designing and delivering VMLY&R’s first-ever emerging technology agenda, which focused on innovations in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other advanced technologies. Gracie also played an instrumental role in the agency's partnerships with leading brands, helping to integrate cutting-edge technologies into their marketing strategies.

In 2020, Gracie decided to exit corporate life and venture into the world of Web3 technology. She founded The Building Blocks, a venture studio focused on creating the next internet. The company’s goal is to build new markets using blockchain and decentralised technologies, aiming to democratise value and allow everyone to participate in emerging digital economies. In addition to this venture, Gracie co-founded PROOFofBRAND, a branding and communications agency for the third web, which focuses on helping businesses navigate the complexities of Web3 and build their brand presence in the digital space.

In 2025, Gracie was appointed as the UK Delegate to UN Women, where she focuses on leveraging technology to record and communicate the lived experiences of women, particularly in regions where data capture is challenging. This role reflects her commitment to social impact and using technology to amplify underrepresented voices in the digital world.
