History

Grafton Group plc was founded in 1992 following the acquisition by Grafton Castle Ltd of Alan Gibson Ltd, a long-established Irish builders' merchant. They acquired Heiton Holdings plc in June 2000 and merged it with Grafton Castle creating the current Grafton Group plc with operations in both Ireland and the UK.
