Graphic Era Deemed to be University (GEU), established in 1993 by Prof. (Dr.) Kamal Ghanshala is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Originally started as the Graphic Era Institute of Technology (GEIT), it transformed into a Deemed University in 2008. Graphic Era Deemed to be University (GEU) was established in 1993 by Prof. (Dr.) Kamal Ghanshala in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, with the aim of providing quality education to students. The journey began with the founding of the Graphic Era Institute of Technology (GEIT), which was the first self-financed institute in North India to offer engineering courses. In 2008, after years of successful operations and a strong academic reputation, GEIT was granted the status of a Deemed University by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. In 2022, GEU became the only university in the region to have seven NBA-accredited engineering programs.
