History

Guided Therapeutics was founded in 2000 by Mark Fletcher, an Atlanta endodontist, and began trading on the OTC Bulletin Board in 2002. In 2006, the company introduced the LuViva Advanced Cervical Scan, a medical device designed to detect cervical cancer in a non-invasive manner. In 2008, the device was approved for sale in Europe by the European Union. In 2011, the company began selling the device in the U.S. and was awarded a patent for the LuViva Scan in 2013.
