Harvest was founded in 1992 to pursue acquisitions and development of oil and gas properties in the Rocky Mountain region of the United States. The company grew significantly in the late 1990s and early 2000s with acquisitions and development projects in the Texas Gulf Coast, West Texas, Mid-Continent and other regions. In 2006, the company was acquired by Magnum Hunter Resources.
