It constructs and repairs ships; marine, industrial, installation, and maintenance work related to ships, waterways, and ports; acts as agent of trading industries; provides repair and public services for transport lines, oil and gas tankers, refineries, factories, and annexes, as well as projects and stations of electrical power generation; supplies, installs, and maintains safety equipment and security systems; undertakes contract works for laying and installation of pipes, sandblasting, paint, and fixed and mobile scaffolds; and acquires movables and real estate. The company was incorporated in 1974 and is headquartered in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

History

Founded in 1961, HEISCO began as a small operation in Kuwait and gradually expanded into the region, becoming one of the largest engineering and shipbuilding firms in the Arabian Gulf. Over the years, HEISCO has undertaken large projects such as the construction of the Kuwait Naval Base, the Dubai-based Heavy Industries facility, and the Mina Al Ahmadi Oil Platform.
