History

In 1927, John Fix, along with seven other businessmen, founded what would eventually become Heritage Bank. Fix initially opened a small office in a local barbershop, and the bank quickly expanded, adding a branch in a nearby town. The company became a publicly-traded entity in 1956. In 1982, the company changed its name to Heritage Financial Corporation, and the company acquired West Coast Banks in 2010, allowing it to expand its reach and services.
