History

HomeStreet Bank was founded in 1921 as Northern Bank, in the Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Northern Bank acquired several other banks and consolidated under the HomeStreet Bank name in 1998. In 2019, HomeStreet Bank entered into an agreement with Homebridge Financial Services, Inc. that provided an exit from the stand-alone retail mortgage banking business and the sale of substantially all of our stand-alone retail banking branch locations.
