Summary
History
IBJ was established in 1880 as the first international bank in Japan. Initially operating under the name “JAPAN HANKOKU BANK” the company was modifed in 2003 to its current name, “IBJ”. Throughout his history IBJ has consistently grown and expanded, focusing on three core areas of financial services: retail banking, corporate/institutional banking, and capital markets as well as international banking. Today, IBJ has branches in seven other countries, with services covering 38 countries and regions.
