History
The International Centre for Culinary Arts (ICCA) Dubai was founded in 2005 by Sunjeh Raja with the aim of offering high-quality culinary education in the Middle East. Located in Dubai Knowledge Village, ICCA was established as a vocational training centre to provide industry-focused culinary programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Over the years, ICCA has gained recognition for its commitment to excellence in culinary education.
In its early years, ICCA focused on developing a curriculum that met international standards. The centre earned accreditation from City & Guilds, London, which ensured that its programs adhered to globally recognised educational standards. Additionally, ICCA received recognition from the World Association of Chefs Societies (WorldChefs), confirming that its programs met or exceeded the culinary education standards set by the organisation. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) of Dubai also approved ICCA’s programs, validating its commitment to quality education.
