History

The Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB) was founded in 2007 with the objective of promoting the internationalisation and globalization of the Indian MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) industry. The organization started with a vision to provide a platform for Indian businesses to expand their presence in global markets and increase their exports. Since then, ICIB has become an instrumental organization in guiding and supporting the Indian industry and trade under the manufacturing and service sectors to gain first-hand experience of looking outward.

Over the years, ICIB has played a crucial role in promoting joint ventures, technology transfer, import substitution, and access to new markets to import new technologies and products for India. It has also facilitated the expansion of Indian industries in international regions from the Americas to South East Asia. ICIB has been a key player in promoting the growth of the manufacturing and services sectors in India and providing various initiatives in a wide range of sectors such as healthcare, tourism, education, engineering, communications, transportation, information technology, banking, finance, management, renewable energy, and waste management.

ICIB has an outreach program in many parts of the globe and has partner organizations in 32 countries and 8 states of India in addition to other supporting institutions globally. The organisation interacts with state and central governments within India and abroad to support its members and take various issues to these agencies and governments.

Today, ICIB is recognized as one of the leading organizations in India that supports and assists MSMEs in growing globally by increasing exports, importing the latest technologies and machinery, encouraging joint ventures with leading international companies, investing in developing and developed markets for growth and expansion, all while ensuring protection and sustainability of the environment and our surroundings. ICIB regularly hosts B2B, and B2C events, industry and government interactions, exhibitions, and delegations locally and abroad.

The Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB) aims to support and assist Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India to expand globally through increasing exports, importing the latest technologies and machinery, encouraging joint ventures with leading international companies, investing in developing and developed markets for growth and expansion while ensuring the protection and sustainability of the environment.
