Iskenderun Demir ve Çelik A.S. (Isdemir) is a Turkish company that produces and sells iron and steel products. It offers hot-rolled flat steel products, such as rolls or sheet metals, and plates. 

The company has grown to become the largest producer of steel in the Middle East, with an annual production capacity of 5.5 million tons and and exports them to more than 40 countries around the world.

The company was founded in 1949 and incorporated in 1968 and is based in Hatay, Turkey. Iskenderun Demir ve Çelik A.S. is a subsidiary of Eregli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikalari T.A.S.

Iskenderun Demir ve Çelik A.S. was founded in 1949 in Iskenderun, Turkey. The company was initially established as a small iron and steel production facility with the goal of supplying the local market with steel products.

In the 1960s, the company began to expand its production capabilities as the Turkish steel industry was growing at an unprecedented rate. IDC established its first rolling mill in 1965 and, within two years, the production of long steel products was underway. In the following years, the company expanded its product range to include hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel sheets, beams, bars, and pipes.

In the early 1990s, IDC began to focus on increasing its international presence. It opened a sales office in Istanbul, which was followed by the establishment of a sales office in the United States in 1992. In 1994, IDC opened its first international sales office in Germany.

In 2000, IDC entered into a strategic alliance with the Turkish steel company Erdemir. This alliance enabled the companies to increase their production capabilities and enabled them to further expand their international presence.

In the following years, IDC continued to expand its operations and, in 2014, it opened its first production facility in the USA. The new facility in Texas produces long steel products, including steel slabs, hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel sheets, beams, bars, and pipes.

Today, IDC is one of the leading steel producers in Turkey, with an annual production capacity of 5.5 million tons of steel. The company produces a wide range of steel products and exports them to more than 40 countries around the world.

It offers hot-rolled flat steel products, such as rolls or sheet metals, and plates. The company also provides various billets, such as steel for the production of patterned reinforcing bars, structural steel for the production of angle bars and profiles, steel for the production of structural steel shapes for vessels, and chromium-alloys and high-carbon steel for the automotive industry; and coils. 

In addition, it offers byproducts, including motor and pure benzol, toluol, xylol, raw tar, ammonium sulfate, iron sulfate, and granulated blast furnace slag; and coke, oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. Further, the company provides laboratory services; and port services, including maritime, customs, and security services. 

Additionally, it offers pig iron, blooms, and reinforcing bars. Iskenderun Demir ve Çelik A.S. also exports its products.
