History

Itamar Medical was founded in 1997 by internationally-renowned sleep medicine expert Dr. Meir Kryger. The company began by marketing the Siesta sleep diagnostic device, the first non-invasive home sleep test, throughout Europe and Japan. In 2006, Itamar Medical received CE Mark approval for its Siesta device and in 2007, the company formed a strategic partnership with ResMed and began marketing Siesta in the United States. Since then, the company has gone on to develop and commercialize a variety of sleep and cardiovascular health products and services.
