Jyoti Mante(Khurpade)

Jyoti Mante (Khurpade) is an accomplished academic and programme head with a strong background in computer engineering, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI). She currently serves as the Programme Head for B.Tech Integrated Computer Engineering at MIT World Peace University (MITWPU), Pune, where she also leads the Department of Computer Engineering. Jyoti has over 20 years of experience in the field of education and has held significant roles at various institutions, including Maharashtra Institute of Technology and Babasaheb Naik Engineering College.
 

Jyoti’s educational journey includes pursuing a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at MITWPU, with a focus on machine learning and Python programming. She holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Maharashtra Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Shegaon.
 

Her academic expertise spans various areas such as data structures, cybersecurity, machine learning, deep learning, and database systems. She has received several awards and recognitions, including the Best Paper Award at an IEEE conference, the Ideal Teacher Award from MIT Group of Institutions, and the Best Laboratory Award from the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education. She was also recognised for skill enhancement and revenue generation at the state level.

Jyoti has contributed to numerous publications in prestigious journals and conferences. Notable papers include works on augmented reality and heart rate variability, IoT and 5G networks, and advanced security systems. Her research interests lie in integrating new technologies into the curriculum and advancing knowledge in AI and cybersecurity. As a passionate educator, she is dedicated to creating a dynamic learning environment for students and guiding them towards excellence in IT and engineering.

Jyoti Mante (Khurpade) was born in India and has spent much of her life dedicated to the field of education, particularly in computer engineering and technology. After completing her early education, she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering in Shegaon between 1994 and 1997. Upon graduating, she began her professional career in academia, teaching at various institutions and gaining experience in educational leadership.
 

Jyoti continued her academic journey by pursuing a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Maharashtra Institute of Technology, which she completed between 2008 and 2010. During her time at MIT, she developed a strong interest in machine learning, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies. 

This led her to undertake further research and gain expertise in these fields. Over the years, she has become well-versed in the areas of data structures, competitive coding, database systems, machine learning, and deep learning, which she has integrated into her teaching and research.
 

In 1998, Jyoti took on her first significant teaching role as an Assistant Professor at Babasaheb Naik Engineering College in Pusad, where she taught for nearly a year before moving on to other academic opportunities. In 2000, she joined Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) as a faculty member and worked her way up to become the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, a position she held for over 18 years until 2018. During this time, she contributed significantly to curriculum development, research initiatives, and academic leadership.
 

In August 2018, Jyoti became the Programme Head for B.Tech Integrated Computer Engineering at MIT World Peace University, Pune. In addition to this, she assumed the role of Head of the Department of Computer Engineering at the same institution. In these roles, she oversees the academic programmes, leads research projects, and is involved in strategic decision-making for the department and university. Jyoti has played a significant role in fostering a dynamic learning environment, integrating cutting-edge technologies into the curriculum, and guiding students to excel in their careers.
 

She has also been pursuing her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at MIT World Peace University, with a focus on machine learning and Python programming. Her research interests include AI, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies, which she has explored in several published papers. 

Notably, her work includes papers on topics such as augmented reality and heart rate variability for reducing stage fright, IoT and 5G networks, and advanced security systems using encrypted passwords. These publications have been presented at major conferences such as IEEE and have contributed to her growing reputation in the field.
 

Throughout her career, Jyoti has received several accolades for her contributions to academia and research. She was awarded the Best Paper Award at the IEEE Industry 4.0 conference in 2020 for her research on augmented reality and deep learning. She also received the Ideal Teacher Award from MIT Group of Institutions in 2017 and the Best Networking Laboratory Award from the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education in 2016. These recognitions reflect her commitment to excellence in teaching and research.
 

Currently, Jyoti continues to lead the Department of Computer Engineering at MIT World Peace University and remains deeply involved in shaping the next generation of IT professionals. She is dedicated to advancing knowledge in the fields of AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity, and works actively to integrate these areas into both her teaching and research. 


Jyoti is also focused on improving the skills of students through innovative teaching methods and research projects, ensuring that they are well-equipped to succeed in the rapidly changing world of technology. Her work and ongoing contributions to the academic community continue to have a lasting impact on the development of computer science and engineering education in India.
