Kasif Atun

Kasif Atun is a highly accomplished banking professional, currently serving as the CEO and Head of CCIB (Corporate and Commercial Banking) in Turkey for Standard Chartered Bank. With over 30 years of experience in corporate and institutional banking, he has established himself as a leader known for his expertise and strategic acumen. Kasif began his international banking career in New York, joining American Express Bank Ltd in 1990. He later moved to Turkey in 1993, where he held various senior positions, including Country and Regional Head, before joining Standard Chartered Bank in Turkey in 2008. As CEO of Standard Chartered Yat?r?m Bankas? Türk A.?, a subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank, Kasif has played a pivotal role in driving the success of the investment banking business in Turkey.

Kasif is currently the CEO of Standard Chartered Yatirim Bankasi Türk A.S, which is a fully-owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank operating in Turkey. The subsidiary holds a full investment banking license, allowing it to engage in a wide range of financial services.

In addition to his CEO role, Ka?if also leads the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) business of Standard Chartered Bank in Turkey. This entails overseeing and managing the bank's relationships with corporate clients and institutional investors in the country.

Kasif began his international banking career in New York in 1990, joining American Express Bank Ltd. as part of the Bank's Management Trainee program. In 1993, he moved to Turkey and assumed various positions of increasing responsibility, including Country Head and Regional Head for different lines of business. He has also served as the Country CEO for Standard Chartered Bank in Turkey.

Having joined Standard Chartered Bank Turkey in 2008, Ka?if has accumulated 29 years of experience in the banking industry, with 13 years spent in Country CEO roles.

Ka?if pursued his higher education in the United States, where he studied under the Cyprus - America Scholarship Program (CASP). He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Organization & Management.

Born in Cyprus, Ka?if is married to Bengi Atun. His wife is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (BA), the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) (MSc), and Koç University (PhD). Together, they have a daughter aged 24 and a son aged 21.
