HRH Princess Katarina de Silva of Yugoslavia and Serbia is a prominent social impact entrepreneur and thought leader. Born on 28 November 1959 at King’s College Hospital in London, she is the eldest daughter of Prince Tomislav of Yugoslavia and Princess Margarita of Baden. She has received several honours, including the Dame Grand Cordon of the Royal Order of St. Sava and the Dames Grand Cross Royal Order of Francis I.
 

Her family, once part of the Yugoslavian royal dynasty, was exiled after World War II. Growing up in England. She is a first cousin to Alexander, Crown Prince of Yugoslavia. Princess Katarina is a senior descendant of Queen Victoria, with notable ancestral ties to several European royal families. 

Professionally, Princess Katarina is a businessperson with expertise in etiquette and decorum. She has developed and sold courses on these subjects alongside former Royal butler Grant Harrold. 
 

She is the founder and director of N.W.N. International and MWL International Limited, both of which are based in London. She is also an ambassador for the Yunnan Dianhong Group, a Chinese tea company. 
 

She has been involved in initiatives, including Project Change: Bermuda, which aims to build a hospital and train medical staff in Burundi. She has also served as president of the Guild of Travel and Tourism in the UK and patron of the Society of Genealogists.

Princess Katarina married Sir Desmond de Silva, a prominent barrister and international lawyer, in 1987. The couple had one daughter, Victoria Marie Esmé Margarita, born in 1991. However, they divorced in 2010. Despite her personal challenges, she continued to focus on charity work and public service. She became a trustee of the Katie Cutler Foundation in 2015, which supports victims of violent crime.
 

In addition to her charity work, Princess Katarina has engaged in business activities. She is the director of N.W.N. International and MWL International Limited, both based in London.
