History

Kura Sushi first opened its doors in 1979 in Japan, and has since become one of the most popular sushi restaurants in the country. The company opened its first venture overseas with a restaurant in Singapore in 2005, and then expanded its international presence with locations in Indonesia, Thailand, and the U.S. in 2017.
