History

The company was incorporated in the Province of Ontario in 1965 and commenced operations in 1966. Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corp. is a wholly-owned asset of the Rio Tinto Group of companies, one of the largest mining organizations in the world. The firm holds a 7.7 per cent equity interest in Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC).
