History

Li-Cycle was founded in 2016 by Ajay Kochhar and Conor Laser-Laxe, two Canada-based engineers. They saw an opportunity to create a new industry that would revolutionize the recycling of lithium-ion batteries. The company, which is based out of Ontario, Canada has since grown exponentially, with numerous awards and accolades, and is poised to become the world’s leading lithium-ion battery recycler.
