Born with a keen interest in political economy, Lisa pursued a Bachelor of Science in History of Science and Italian Language and Literature at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She then moved on to Northwestern University, where she completed a Master of Arts in Political Science and later a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Political Economy. This academic foundation laid the groundwork for her career in leadership and coaching.
 

After completing her studies, Lisa began her professional career in various roles, including as a Graduate Research Assistant and Technical Staff Member at Los Alamos National Laboratory. During her time there, she contributed to policy-related research in the area of nonproliferation and arms control, engaging in strategic analysis for the U.S. Department of State.
 

In 2005, Lisa founded Focused Leadership Consulting, where she started working with business leaders, executives, and senior teams to improve their leadership capacity, strategic decision-making, and overall organisational performance. Her consulting work quickly gained recognition for its impact, and she became known for helping executives navigate challenges such as AI implementation, team alignment, and personal development.
 

In addition to her consulting work, Lisa became a Master Certified Coach (MCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), accumulating over 12,000 coaching hours. Her extensive coaching experience spans over two decades and includes partnerships with top executives, government leaders, and founders. She has helped businesses scale and achieve over $2.5 billion in increased revenue. Her work is focused on creating scalable systems, eliminating internal drag, and building strong leadership teams.
