History

LOLC Holdings PLC was established in 1985 by the founder and Chairman of the company, Mr. L.K. Deshapriya, with the main focus of helping to uplift the rural economy through the provision of financial aid. Since then, the company has seen a remarkable growth and has ventured into other sectors such as agriculture, energy, leisure, and logistics.

LOLC’s mission is to become a sustained growth engine for the Sri Lankan economy by diversifying its services and products, as well as to be the leading provider of financial services to the rural and semi-urban areas of the country.
